Maitland Peet, Executive Director

Maitland started with HFHCC in January 2010 and brings a strong and diverse background in non-profit administration, education, construction, and service to his role at Habitat.

As Executive Director with the Olympic Park Institute and later with the Peninsula College Foundation he pursued his passion for education here on the peninsula.  He has several years of experience as a builder and project manager in residential construction, and several more in development of educational exhibits and programs in Museums & Science Centers.

Maitland is a former board member with the Juan de Fuca Festival of the Arts and with Port Angeles Youth Soccer, and currently coaches youth teams for Storm King Soccer Club and Cal Ripken baseball.  An outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife Gail and two kids, Callie and Grayson.

Harry Gravatte, Construction Manager

Harry started with Habitat in 2009.  He’s responsible for overseeing all construction activities – from land acquisition, working with municipal building departments, managing permitting processes, planning and scheduling work, and ordering materials – straight through to on-site construction and volunteer management.

Prior to settling in Sequim in 1998, Harry worked for 22 years as a licensed General Contractor in California, doing commercial and industrial construction.  Now a licensed G.C. in Washington he’s been involved with a variety of construction projects large and small, including a remodel of his own residence in the Dungeness area. Those of you who have met Harry know that he’s a great addition to the team and that he brings a wealth of knowledge and a high degree of dedication to the affiliate.

Bob Eichhorn, Manager, Habitat for Humanity Store

Bob started with Habitat for Humanity of Clallam County in September 2008, in time to participate in the pre-opening completion of the HFH ReStore.  On December 4, 2008, with a crew of eager volunteers, he opened the store and he’s never looked back, looking ever forward and taking the Store in the same direction.

While retail management was not his primary profession, he has a history of “giving back and paying forward”.  His “growing up” profession was in the field of international logistics and trade compliance.  A 3-year stint as Public Affairs Officer and Department Supervisor for Millworks at Home Depot honed his retail savvy, and it is clear that Bob possesses the passion, the skills, the leadership, and the business sense needed to run the Store.

Though not a true native of Washington, Bob has always been a Washingtonian at heart.   Now having lived here with his wife and family for nearly 30 years, he has all the signs and traits of being a “native” Washingtonian … that is, webbed toes, moss on his north side, and the ability to properly pronounce S’Klallam, Sequim, Blyn, and Puyallup.  Bob and his wife Wallene have been married for 38 years.  With a grown daughter Jennifer, and son Bob Jr., they are truly “empty nesters”, who love having their offspring come back to roost on a frequent basis.  He fills his spare time with Wallene, kayaking, hiking, fishing, gardening, and riding their Harley.
